An Update! :)

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd write a small one.

The Whitehurst Trio has been busy lately. Christmas is around the corner and going to town seems to be an everyday thing around our house. If it isn't gifts, its clothes for one of the three of us.

We have been very blessed with a TON of hand-me-downs (which I love-Thanks-Dani, Annie, Kenzi, and Mandi), so we don't have to do a lot of shopping for Ali...Brandon and I are different stories.  Brandon has lost weight right along with me which is weird because he can eat everything in sight and not GAIN a pound.......BUUUUTTTT he still loses weight! MEN are just mean! HA. I have seem to hit a plateau at the moment and I'm in between sizes, I HATE that. It just so happens that I don't have any pants in the size I need, so I had to shop for that. I really DISLIKE shopping for jeans anyway because I am so SHORT. This past weekend apparently all the stores didn't want me to buy from them, not a ONE of them had the size I needed in boot cut!

BESIDES that, Ali is very alert to every little thing. She is growing so fast! I thought all the other kids in the family grew fast, but nothing is like your own child growing! She has finally started sleeping better. She still has her nights where she doesn't quite sleep through the night, but that's okay-wouldn't change it! We have recently discovered that she has started to teethe....my child is already doing this...WHAT?? She was just born, like yesterday! :/

I know a lot of people do not read this kind of stuff, but I kind of enjoy doing this. I will try my best to update more and even add more pictures. I have the mobile app so maybe a few more posts this weekend coming up week. Every weekend has been crazy busy and it won't slow down until after Christmas.

Our new Addition

Our new Addition is something else! She has got to be the prettiest baby I have ever seen! I know, I know... she's my child and I would and will always say that.

She can be a handful at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way. She has shown me who is boss (for the time being)...and let me tell ya, she knows she is too!

I will admit, when we first found out we were pregnant, we both wanted a boy. Now that she is here, I think we have both changed our minds! We could both squeeze her to pieces. We love to just sit and watch her sleep, stare at the ceiling, or coooo. And she has ONE adorable little smile that melts my heart! I look forward to getting off work every day to see that bundle of joy! :)

Tonight is Halloween! She will be dressing up as a pink monster. I am still unsure about actually getting/collecting the candy. It really isn't fair for me to be collecting the candy that she won't eat! And this girl sure doesn't need any!!! I'll post a picture later of what she looks like. Her first Halloween already! Soon it will be her first Christmas!!!! I'm not ready for all these years to fly by like I know they will!

I know I am all over the place! I just can't help myself!

Baby Ali

I'm still here!! I just haven't had time to post!!

Alison Rae Whitehurst was born September 6, 2012 at 9:59pm. She weighed 8lbs 6 oz and was 21in long!

She is definitely the spitting image of me!! Uh oh!! :)

We are loving every minute with her and look forward to what/who she will turn out to be!

She will be 20 days old tomorrow!! Where did the time go??? That means 1 year will be here before I know it!! :/

My favorite thing to HATE!!

So tonight maybe ten minutes ago....

I am rolling over to hear my name come from the living room! I got up to see what Brandon needed. He calmly said at the back door with the door open, his head barely through the doorway, porch light on, 'I need you get dressed and come outside. I have a snake pinned.'

It took me a second to realize what he was saying. I came back to our room and did what he said. Of course I had to pee first just in case I was to encounter something and just happened to pee on myself...it wouldn't be as much! Like that matters! :) I even put tennis shoes on instead of just flip flops or my crocs. I couldn't risk my short munchkin toes getting attacked!

So I'm ready and go to the door to find him with a shovel and the snake pinned to the concrete. He fills me in on what has happened and tells me to get a hammer. So I go to his shop and get a hammer while also looking around EVERYWHERE to make sure there isn't another one! I bring it back and do what he instructs me to do...I'm scared but I do it. He officially kills this nasty thing and we talk about what he came out to find.

Coco was pacing around the dog house. Bailey was pinned in by this snake. And let me tell ya...you don't mess with our babies...they will do all they can to get you! Coco is very good about that..anyway! She was in striking distance of this thing and at anytime could have gotten bit but she chose to protect her sister. They are really good dogs...horrible with digging but GREAT!

Okay so we figure that this nasty thing that I LOVE to HATE came from out neighbors yard. Go figure that no one has lived in this house for ummm legs say 5 or so months, maybe a little longer. You'd think that the realtor thy has it up for sale would take care of the yard....NOPE. I called three or four weeks ago to get something to done. (Guys I'm talking like grass half way up our fence and very trashy). So since he didn't do anything I went to the City with it and made a complaint. He apparently worked because they (the owners who are in foreclosure...not their responsibility if you ask me) started mowing the very front yard and supposedly their mower messes up...really???? But hey...they've started and are supposed to be back this weekend. Since they started cleaning it up...it had to have come from their nasty yard. Maybe one day we will have good CLEAN neighbors! :/

I am glad it happened tonight instead of tomorrow...if Brandon would have went out to feed the dogs in the morning he would have been caught off guard or even bit!

In the end....my husband is a good snake killer (TWO this year..one in house and one out), my big girls outside are good and ALIVE, and we will for SURE have more snake away by the time we get home tonight!

Anyway...I have been at this for nearly 30 minutes now...so I'll stop. I won't be going to sleep for a few but I'll stop writing!!!

Ooo as far as baby...I'm still a 1 and 25% effaced...maybe this week we will have more progress!

Packed and Ready

We are now officially packed and ready to go at a moments notice.

We are doing some last minute cleaning/straightening before we do have to run off.

The nursery is in order and all ready for Ali. It is really hard to believe that she could make her entrance at any time. EEEEEKKKKKKK! :D

I'll try and post again next week and let you know where I'm at. Hopefully at least a 2 maybe more...I wouldn't be upset! ;) If I don't I'm sure I'll post again soon and maybe have baby with us.

3 Weeks and Counting

Finally

Hey guys! 

I am finally getting around to updating some pictures of Alison's nursery. I have had these pictures for a bit but really haven't had the time to upload them. 

The big baby for a little bit longer! She will hopefully be a good big sister! 

So there it is. A preview of the little one's nursery. :)

Chick-fil-a

So Brandon and I went to Chick-fil-a tonight for dinner. We arrived at 6:45, placed our order by 6:55, and were out of there by 7:40. Not too bad!

While waiting for our food, there were workers walking around asking for refills, what ticket number we were...just checking up on us pretty regularly...WONDERFUL service...what fast food place would do that???!!! I was afraid the whole time that they would run out of food...didn't slow down from the time we got there until the time we left. Those workers were awesome!! They definitely need a bonus, a raise, or something! They were sweating and trying hard to keep everyone satisfied! In my book...they were the BOMB! :P Maybe with everyone going and supporting them...they will get off sooner!

So needless to say YES WE SUPPORT Chick-fil-a!!!!!

Chick-fil-a has great food, great service, and great Christian beliefs...ENOUGH said!!

Sunday dinner

This weekend has flown by! I did a lot this weekend but then again I didn't get finished with what I really wanted to.

Brandon and I went over to my grandmother's for dinner tonight and had a great time!! We all talked about some goofy and strange stuff and then we looked through photo albums! I really enjoyed looking back at what we all used to be and comparing it to what/where we are now! It is crazy to look at my baby pictures and knowing that in less than 39 days our little girl will be here! I wonder who she will look like???!!!!???

That's about it for now, I'm pretty tired and may go to bed soon!

Tonight

For a week now, Brandon and I have been planning an evening trip to Shreveport. Well being Friday night and having absolutely nothing to do on Saturday...we chose tonight!

So we made it a date night, somewhat. We made it to Shreveport about 6:30 and had dinner first, which happened to be one of my favorite places now thanks to my dad. Anyway the place is called Five Guys Burgers! If you have never tried it...you definitely should, but always remember that one container of fries will feed the WHOLE table!

We finished dinner at about 7:30ish and headed to Babies R Us! We walked down every aisle and probably found something on every one that was either really cute or something we thought Ali needed!! It's so hard to shop or a baby when we have no idea what Ali may need. :) We had blankets and a few clothes and a possible Halloween outfit in the buggy plus some!!! We ended up with a swing, bathtub, and some bottle things..we talked ourselves out of a lot of things!! (You have to picture this guys..we had what we needed in the buggy for an hour, we sit around talking about what we needed or didn't need for the rest of the time...probably a good 30 minutes. We would put something up and then go back and get it and do it again...it was just so hard!!!!) So we go up to the counter and check out and the lady saves us 20%...that officially made date night a success, being together and saving money...we saved a ton of money!! And guys...we ARE penny pinchers!!

Well it looks like we are close to being back in town so I'll stop for now and leave a picture of a bee outfit (that I put back) and of Five Guys!!

Getting ready for baby...

This week has been somewhat slow at work so I have been catching up on some reading!

I've been reading all kind of books and magazines on different baby things! Whether to breast feed or not, what kinds of things are a necessity when it comes to buying things for baby, to go natural or get the juice, am I eating the right things for baby to grow and be healthy for delivery....basically all kinds of things!

Let me tell ya...maybe I shouldn't be reading these! I get freaked out about certain stuff pretty easy and it sticks it my head! Especially different scenarios of labor and delivery...OMG...you don't even want to know what is sticking around in my head for the day of!! Any pointers from you moms out there would be great...but don't freak me out even more so only good things!!! :P

Anywho!

This weekend I will do my best to post some pictures of Ali's nursery. Some of you maybe wanting to see it and can't come over so be on the look out!

Boy meets Girl, Boy Marries Girl, and then.....

A little about me to start off....

I'm Andria Johnson Whitehurst. I have been with the best guy in the world, Brandon Whitehurst for almost 9 years. Brandon asked me to be his girl on December 12, 2003 and of course...I said Yes. On November 12, 2007...he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. AND of course I said YYYYYEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!  The Big Day came quicker than I expected.... and I changed my name as we became one on June 7, 2008. And you know what....I wouldn't change it for the WORLD.

Soooo Boy meets Girl, Boy Marries Girl and then.....Boy and Girl have Baby!

After 4 years of being together and doing our own thing.......we are bringing a little one into this world! We found out in January 2012 we were expecting!! In April we found out it is a little girl and we are naming her Alison Rae. We are so excited to meet and hold this precious little bundle that seems to be bruising every part of my body, but it will be worth it!! We are almost to her due date though, September 6, 2012. If you were to ask me I would say August 31st but we will see. We all have our dates picked out!

Anyway...That's just a preview of our life in a few sentences. I will use this blog to show people what is going on in our life...the good, the bad, and the ugly!!!!

Also any tips on making this prettier will be greatly appreciated!!! :)
